| May 7, 2008 What's up Party People?Well, the college touring season is over for the spring, but don't worry, I'm not taking a summer vacation. Lots of cool things are going on, first and foremost is: My One Act Play Will Be HItting The Stage!My new one-act play, Ripping CDs, is going to be debuting on a New York City stage in just over a week!. I've been working with the actors and they're both great and I'm really excited. There is one drawback, however. The night of the one-act festival I'll be in El Paso, TX opening for George Carlin. Don't get me wrong, these are good problems to have: attending the debut of my play or performing with a comedy legend. But just because I'll be on the Rio Grande doesn't mean you can't go. If you're in New York and would like to check out a night of great new one-acts, here are the detais: Nailing Jello to a Tree an evening of one-act plays to benefit the Shenandoah Fine Art Scholarship of New York California!Hey Cali, I'm coming your way in June! (Also in May and July opening for Carlin, but more on that in a sec) In June I'll be hitting Santa Barbara, San Francisco, the San Joaquin Valley and probably some stuff in L.A.! Here's what's on the bill so far: Thursday, June 12 Thursday, June 19 Tuesday, June 24 Opening for George Carlin this Summer!The excitement continues as I'll be opening more shows for George Carlin, including a couple of cool outdoor concert venues in Cali! Get Spurned in June!
Darkly comic sketch group Spurn returns to the New York stage Friday nights in June. There may be a piece or two of mine in the current production (depending on whether or not they can find a fully licensed and bonded lemur trainer with reasonable rates). Either way the show is sure to be hilarious, bitter, twisted, and at times downright weird. Check 'em out! They're at the P.I.T. Fridays in June at 9:30 pm.
